Temporary Overnight Traffic Stoppages to be Implemented Along Northbound & Southbound MD 295

Steel girders to be set overnight for the new Waterview Avenue Bridge as part of the Triple Bridges Replacement Project

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary overnight traffic stoppages will be implemented along northbound and southbound MD 295.   The temporary overnight stoppages are necessary so that steel girders can be placed for the new Waterview Avenue Bridge as part of the Triple Bridges Replacement Project.

Starting on Monday, April 25, 2022 and continuing through Thursday, April 28, 2022, temporary overnight traffic stoppages will occur along both northbound and southbound MD 295 in the vicinity of the Waterview Avenue Bridge from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night, weather permitting.  Two temporary stoppages will occur along MD 295 each night during these times, lasting about 15 minutes each.  Traffic will not be stopped in both directions at the same time.  In the event of inclement weather, the stoppages will be postponed until the following night.

The overnight stoppages along northbound MD 295 may cause delays, so motorists should consider using alternate routes or allow additional travel time if commuting along this portion of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

Information and construction updates regarding the Triple Bridges Replacement Project along MD 295 can be found at 295TripleBridges.com.
