Traffic Modifications for the Making Strides

Against Breast Cancer Walk

 

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk which will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 starting at 9:00 a.m. 

The walk begins at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg YMCA located at Stadium Place and will proceed west on 33rd Street, right on Ellerslie Avenue, right on 36th Street, right on Ednor Road, and left on E. 35th Street.   Participants will then turn right on Hillen Road and left to Lake Montebello to follow the lake around to exit on 33rd Street.  Walkers will turn right onto Ednor Road and left on Lakeside Avenue to finish at the YMCA parking lot.

During the event, one lane of traffic will be coned off for participants wherever possible along the walk route.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented along the walk route for the safety of participants.  Motorists may experience delays and should be on the watch for pedestrians while traveling in this vicinity.
